Yes, they may. Make sure you put your jewellery on last when you are dressing so that they won’t be subject to lotions, perfumes, hair spray or any other cosmetics or chemicals which may cause permanent defects on your jewellery such as discoloration, stains or loss of brilliance. Putting your jewellery last will also prevent it from getting caught on your clothes and being damaged. Stone settings can get clogged up with cream easily. Avoid putting on lotion while wearing your rings.

Store your jewellery items individually so that you can avoid scratches or damages.Humidity will cause tarnish; do not keep your jewellery container in the bathroom to avoid it.Natural oils from your skin may cause diamonds, gemstones and pearls to get dull. Handle them as little as possible when you don’t wear your jewellery.

Is it safe to use jewellery cleaners?

Some jewellery cleaners may contain abrasives which can be too harsh for your jewellery and not all of them are suitable for all types of metals and gemstones. The safest way to clean your jewellery is to use a mild soap and a very soft cloth or brush.

Lab Grown Diamonds

What are lab-grown diamonds?

Lab-grown diamonds, also known as synthetic or man-made diamonds, are diamonds that are created in a controlled laboratory environment using advanced technological processes that simulate the natural conditions under which diamonds form in the Earth's mantle.

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes, lab-grown diamonds are chemically, physically, and optically identical to mined diamonds. They have the same crystal structure, hardness, brilliance, and other properties as natural diamonds.

How are lab-grown diamonds created?

Lab-grown diamonds are created through two main methods: High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD). HPHT involves replicating the high pressure and temperature conditions deep within the Earth to crystallize carbon into diamond. CVD involves depositing carbon atoms onto a diamond substrate in a controlled chamber.

Do lab-grown diamonds require special care?

Lab-grown diamonds require the same care as natural diamonds. Regular cleaning, proper storage, and avoiding contact with harsh chemicals will help maintain their brilliance and beauty.

Can lab-grown diamonds be resized or repaired?

Yes, lab-grown diamonds can be resized and repaired by experienced jewelers, just like natural diamonds. However, it's important to work with a jeweler who is knowledgeable about lab-grown diamond properties.

Can lab-grown diamonds be insured?

Yes, lab-grown diamonds can be insured just like mined diamonds. Many insurance companies offer coverage for both types of diamonds under their jewelry insurance policies.

Natural Diamonds

What is a natural diamond?

A natural diamond is a precious gemstone formed over billions of years under extreme pressure and temperature conditions deep within the Earth’s mantle.

How are natural diamonds formed?

Natural diamonds are formed from carbon atoms that crystallize under high-pressure and high-temperature conditions approximately 100 miles below the Earth's surface.

What makes natural diamonds unique?

Each natural diamond is unique due to its formation process, which results in distinct inclusions and variations in color, clarity, and cut.

How do natural diamonds differ from lab-grown diamonds?

Natural diamonds are formed naturally over billions of years, while lab-grown diamonds are created in a controlled environment within a few weeks. Both have the same physical and chemical properties, but natural diamonds often hold more historical and sentimental value.

Clean your diamond jewelry regularly using mild soap and water, and avoid harsh chemicals. Store it separately to prevent scratches and have it professionally checked and cleaned periodically.
